Liquid systems

Our fluid systems portfolio covers:

  • Storage and treatment/heating in container cabinets and tanks
  • Gravimetric conveying and dosing via pumps or hydraulic cylinders
  • Dosing/injection via a scale, flow meter, or hydraulic cylinder with a position measuring system
  • Filling or transfer systems
  • and much more

Storage and processing

A wide variety of liquids not only need to be stored, for example, to be fed into a ring pipeline, but also to be treated.
We offer various systems for heating or mixing your liquids, for example.

These include, for example:

  • IBC containers, heating cabinets

  • Heating tanks

  • Mixing systems

Technical data:

Execution

Roller shutter or swing door

Components

1-2 components in IBC containers

Temperature Heating cabinet up to 50°C, heating container up to 150°C
throughput to be agreed on a case-by-case basis
Special version Fire protection F60 or with sprinkler system possible

Heating cabinets:
B&K offers various heating cabinet designs for heating liquids in IBC containers.
Here, the liquids are automatically pumped from the IBC container into a heating tank below, where they are heated and made available at the desired time according to the process parameters.

Mixing systems:
B&K offers you the opportunity to purchase complete mixing and processing systems from a single source.

Example: Promotional product preparation for the tire industry:
Here, a solid is mixed with a liquid over several steps to achieve the desired concentration.

Liquid scales

Liquid scales can be used in almost all industrial sectors. They are filled gravimetrically or via pumps with special dosing ball valves. It is often important that the raw materials/oils are heated to achieve the desired viscosity. When weighing liquids, a distinction is made between conventional weighing and backweighing. With conventional weighing, the liquid must be dosed into the liquid scale until the target value is reached. The liquid must then be emptied. The disadvantage of this is that carryover can occur and the entire quantity is not fed into the process. The alternative to this would be backweighing. With backweighing, there is always an amount “x” in the weighing container, and the drainage system is not vented. The desired target value can then be withdrawn from the weighing container and fed to the mixer, for example. This has the advantage of eliminating carryover. Do not hesitate to contact us, we would be happy to design a system tailored to your needs.

stainless steel, normal steel, aluminum

temperature Heatable up to approx. 130°C (if desired)
Products Oils, waxes, plasticizers, liquid rubber, etc.
Operating weights freely dimensionable

B&K Liquid Scales
For a freely selectable number of components. The product is fed to the scale either freely or via a pump.

Fully Automatic Scale Control System
You save your maintenance personnel the hassle of calibrating the weighing systems because the weighing system tests itself at a configurable interval.

Cylinder dosing systems

Cylinder Dosing and Injection System
The product is drawn from a storage tank or a ring line via a cylinder with an integrated position measuring system and injected at a pressure of up to 100 bar, depending on the design. This can also be done with gravimetric control.

B&K Cylinder Dosing
Example: BK60/1/1-R, 60 kg liquid scale as a checkweigher with 60 dm³ capacity

Cylinder for dosing and injection. The product is stored and heated in a B&K heating cabinet for IBC containers with integrated storage tanks.
